Curse Of The Lahamaga

Hundreds of years ago before the exploration and modernization of America parts the south where riddle with swampland. In a certain patch of swampland existed an unknown tribe of native americans who where very different from most tribes. Unlike most native americans who worshiped many parts of nature, this swamp tribe worshiped a deity they called the "Lahamaga". Little is known about the origins of this deity but it is a myth that this being protected them from the dangers of the swamp, but in return once every five years the tribe must choose a woman to embody the spirit and sacrifice her soul to become the Lahamaga in the flesh feeding until its hunger was quenched. By looking into the so called "mirror of the swamp" the mark of the Lahamaga will appear on her head and the tribe would go into hiding while the painful transformation process began. The tribe mysterious vanished long ago with its myths and with time and the modernization of the world, these swamps have been built over and are now inhabited by modern americans.

Jared and his Wife in the year 2013 moved into a nice southern town that I will not disclose where they hoped to start a family and live a happy life. Melissa wanted an in ground pool which Jared didn't think was necessary, but after hearing thousands of plees from his wife Jared decided to call a installation crew to dig out the backyard and install the pool. Melissa would excitedly watch as the men dug into the ground getting closer to installing the pool with each dig. Melissa noticed something unusual in a pile of dirt close to the site and went to take a closer look. She reached in and grabbed a very dirty object out that looked to her like a very dirty old music box. Melissa was a very curious woman and waited till her husband left for work later in the day to clean off and open the strange box like object. Jared left for work around 6pm and when he did Melissa ran into the kitchen and cleaned off the box in the sink. She was captivated by the ancient design and look of the box but she was more curious about what was inside. She then opened the box and looked into the small mirror inside, instantly she felt a very painful feeling in her forehead like if someone was carving into it with their finger nails. She rushed into the bathroom and noticed a strange mark on her head, she panicked and felt the urge that she needed to leave the house. Her whole body felt a strange painful feeling as she struggled to exit her home, she took her purse then disappeared into the night.

Around 3am Jared returned home and noticed the front door was left open and rushed inside to investigate, he became nervous as he couldn't find his wife anywhere inside,panicking he called the local authorities believing his wife was kidnapped. They came and searched the home and saw no signs of forced entry or of any other people that could of been in the house. They brought up to Jared about how they found a strange mirror in the kitchen sink asking it if it was his wife's. Jared never had bought his wife such a mirror like that and it began to concerned him, the authorities agreed to search the town to see if they can find any leads on Melissa telling Jared to wait at home. Jared couldn't just wait at home so when the police left he snuck outside the house and began to search around town eluding the authorities. After some time he found his wife's purse next a storm drain and became very nervous, he struggled but was able to fit through the storm drain and found himself in the towns sewer system. He wandered around for a while yelling out his wife's name with no luck, he became lost and found himself in a wide sewer tunnel. Jared stopped and began to think about a reason to why his wife would go into the sewers, when he suddenly heard a sort of slithering noise that startled him. Something big came out of a large entrance to a sewer pipe in front of him, He couldn't believe what he saw as his eyes almost completely poped out of its sockets.

It was his wife becoming some sort of horrific serpentine monster, Jared looked at the monster and with a shaky voice said "Mel..Mell..Melissa is that you...?". It was her, all her hair had fallen out and tears ran down her still human face from the pain of her body unnaturally altering. "Oh my god, my god Melissa I need to get you out of here and bring you to a hospital!!!" said Jared still in disbelief to what he was seeing. Melissa told him to get as far away from her as possible, feeling something sinister was soon going to overcome her body. She then swiftly slithered away into the darkness of the sewer leaving Jared confused and terrified. Jared ran around the sewer looking for a way out which took him some time. He finally reached the surface and ran as fast as he could to the police department, but flashing sirens caught his attention as he saw the car of the authorities parked near a dark alley. Jared went to investigate and noticed one of the policemen face down and the floor with two sizable holes in his back drenched in a purple liquid. He was dead and looked as if he had died from severe poisoning, he then noticed a man stepping out with his pistol pointed to the darkness saying "come an..any.. closer and ill shoot". Suddenly a large three head monstrosity came out of the darkness, in a flash two of its heads swallowed both of the man's arms and held him in place while its menacing middle head slowly retracted backwards, with a quick strike the man's head was ripped off and devoured whole. Jared's voice trembled as he said "Mellisa..wha...wha...what have you become", unknowing to Jared their was no trace of his wife left as she had become the Lahamaga an ancient demon god of the swamp. Jared then took out his wedding picture showing it to the monster as he began to cry, the creature looked at it for a couple of seconds than bared its fangs and striked Jared right in the chest.
