Minna

 The day Blackhaven Institution a house for orphaned children and unwanted infants burned to the ground mysteriously, the souls of those trapped inside became corrupted by an unknown evil that warped them into demons that now dwell in an alternate Blackhaven Institution. There they await those who are dragged into this alternate world by the unknown evil through sleep. Below is the updated profile and backstory for the demon "Minna" from the Orphan Wing of the alternate Blackhaven Institution, this demon was featured in Blackhaven Encounter story #11 Minna
  
    Minna grew up in one of the small suburbs lining the outskirts of Dracove City, under the care of her mother Melinda. Around when Minna was just a baby her father walked out on them due to another woman, this devastated Melinda. Since that dispute her mother Melinda became vulnerable and desperate as she struggled to care for Minna on her own. While growing up, Minna would witness a constant cycle of different men coming in and out of the house. None of this seemed like a problem to Minna who was young and oblivious. Most of the time while they were there she would be playing by herself in her room. Though her mother began seeing a certain man more consistently. This man in particular seemed nicer than the other ones and even had a good stable job, with him the cycle of random men began to end. This man seemed nice and Minna grew to like him, he would even spend some of his time playing with her while Melinda was around. As time passed Melinda felt she grew enough trust with the man to leave him alone with Minna while she either had to work or run errands. When Melinda was not around the man changed...The demons buried deep inside revealed themselves. It was during one time Minna was playing with her dolls, he asked her strange request she couldn't comprehend while caressing one of her dolls. Minna was confused and scared as he began to touch her in uncomfortable places. As he did he would constantly remind her her bad things would happen if she told her mother. From then on the sick man preyed upon Minna, this causing her psychological damage. She eventually started to feel sick in her own skin and became very withdrawn. Melinda was unaware of this for awhile and enjoyed the man's company more than her daughter's. Melinda disliked it when Minna would try to avoid the man or show angst towards him. One day before Melinda was about to leave the house, Minna mustered the courage to tell her mother about what was happening to her. While trying to explain it, Melinda became very angry and believed Minna was trying to break them up. Blinded by her desperation and so called love for him, Melinda ignored her daughter. Melinda started to become more agitated against her Minna, beginning to discipline  her often and even beat her. The pressure, stress, and disgust tormented Minna as the acts continued. Now Minna began to view her own mother as much of a monster as the man. On a night when she knew she would have to be alone with the man, she ran away. Directionless, anywhere away from home was to her a better place. Minna made it to a secluded area, a cliffside near the water front in a park on the edge of the suburb.

    The man heading towards the house at the time noticed  Minna running through the streets and decided to follow her in his car. Following her to the park at the edge of town. Minna was calm until she heard a noise from behind her and then saw the man. Minna  panicked, cornered she attempted to run past the man but he grabbed her by her long pigtails. Minna frantically struggled as the man dragged her to his car. Nearing the car Minna was able to gain some leverage and turned around, biting down hard on the man's hand grasping her pigtails. This caused him to shout out and lose his grip, giving Minna the chance to run away. The man now furious caught up to Minna, throwing her to the ground he beat her senseless until her eyes shut and she laid motionless on the ground. As the man tried to stuff her seemingly limp body into his car, Minna suddenly opened her eyes. Acting on instinct, Minna took the opportunity of the man's shock and bit down deep into the his neck. She chomped as rigorously as she could until the man threw her out of the car. Blood shot out of the man's neck, he tried hard to stop the bleeding as Minna bit into a major artery. Minna ran towards the edge of the cliff and didn't hesitate as she flung herself off the edge into the water below. On the way down she crashed into a rock causes her to lose consciousness as she plunged into the river below... Minna's vision was blurry as she opened her eyes to the morning light, at that moment she believe that she had died... It was an absolute miracle she survived, her body drifted down far to another shore line. She touched her head to find her hand stained with blood. looking at her reflection in the water Minna reflected on the recent events begining to cry. She was soon spotted by a fisherman who brought her to the nearest hospital,in the town of Blackhaven where her wounds were treated. Not knowing what to do with her and with Minna not complying, she was soon sent to Blackhaven Institution. Here Minna felt happy that she was away from the nightmare at home and the man. Though even here things still weren't easy for her as she spent a few years here. Some of the other orphans would like to tease her because of her braces and eventual acne, also they liked to grab at her long pigtail which Minna hated. Minna was quite reserved in the beginning and brushed these things off. One day she did reach her breaking point and became extremely angry, she now lashed back at them and even physically hurt them in the process. In the end, though not the one starting any trouble Minna would usually be the one in trouble for how she reacted. The nurses soon began to believe she had an anger issue and she regularly had to see the on staff child psychiatrist. Eventually the teasing had come to a halt the more she lashed back. She also eventually came to enjoy her new attitude as she became feared. Though it cost her some of her only friends, who now avoided her.

    On the day of the fire Minna was among the panic trying to find anyway possible to escape. As the fires started closing in on her she threw down any other panicked and crying orphans in her way to the floor. As the fire would envelop them Minna felt little remorse. Minna tried to open the windows in many of the rooms but they were all strangely sealed completely shut. In the process a mini explosion from one room caused Minna's long pigtails to conflagrate. Minna flailed around screaming, trying to stop the fire, but she was eventually consumed by it in the end. As the flames encased her, horrible memories of her life clouded her mind as the corruption began to meld her into something truly terrifying... Minna's demon is found in the Orphan Wing of the institution and is a truly vicious encounter. Her demon appears as the floating decapitated head of a monster, though it still retains some of her human features. Protruding out of the demon's skull are six long tentacles with sharp flexible barbs at the end, these are representative of Minna's pigtails which she held very dear as a human. These are used as deadly tools for the demon to lash out with and constraint it's victims. As the tentacles wrap and restrain the sharp barbs pierce the flesh becoming hook-shaped, now it is tough and extremely painful for any victims to struggle to escape. This sensation being similar to how she felt when she was constrained by the man. When her victims are fully restrained, comes the demon's next horrific tool which is her strong flexible jaw and razor sharp teeth. This terrifying mouth still lined with braces is used to mercilessly shred and chew through it's victims flesh leaving a devastating wound. This demon usually goes for the neck and one bite will leave it's victims to bleed out. though with a couple more bites added to that this demon will eat it's victims head clean off in a short matter of time. sometimes attaching itself to the headless corpses of its victims to manically parade around. While Minna's demon is patrolling her deadly tentacles are mostly limp and drag around while her lip fidgets and teeth chomp. It is easy to tell she is nearby when the dragging and chomping sound is heard. When encountered  her tentacles flare up and smoke with small bits of charred flesh smolder from her neck. While in pursuit of a victim she is relentless... It is far to difficult to try to take her on face to face and is best to hide rather than suffer traumatic injury or death. It may seem hopeless trying to deal with her but it is rumored somewhere in the orphan wing hides her body which may be the key to stopping this demon...
